Job Description

This position will work directly with the Art Director , the Sr. Director of CS and other Designers to create and produce a variety of graphic designs requested by Marketing and NPD (New Product Development) assuring that in addition to budgets and delivery dates, corporate and professional quality standards are followed.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Model the Spectrum Brands eight Core Capabilities to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility
Design and produce a variety of graphics designs including but not limited to:
Product package graphics
Trade show graphics
Sales and marketing collateral
Printed Ads
POP (point of purchase), In-store signage and Merchandising materials
Assist in generation of design options for new products
Organize and update digital image library
Connect with outside photographers, printing and pre-press vendors
Be primary contact for internal partners in implementation
Make decisions relating to design as well as color, texture and graphics
Achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility

Required Skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential
Excellent office and communication skills
Proven ability to excel in a deadline-intensive environment
Required Experience

Associate Degree in Graphic Arts or related field
2-3 years relevant experience graphic and print design
Thorough knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark Xpress
