Core Duties:
o Develop, modify, and debug gameplay and related engine C/C code
o Develop, modify, and debug gameplay code in proprietary scripting language
o Deploy, evaluate performance, optimize and test software on PC client and server platforms
o Collaborate with other internal departments (art, design, audio, animation, QA, etc)
o Co-develop and collaborate with other Activision studios
o Document software and features for internal and external engineering teams
o Participate in the scheduling, design, performance and code review process
o Report to Gameplay Lead Engineer
Qualifications:
o Bachelor''s degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or Math related field
o Shipped at least one game title
o 5 years of experience working in the game industry
o Proven ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate and support other team members
o Experience in gameplay related fields like AI, physics, animation, weapons, scripting, networking
o Background in working in multi-threaded code
o Strong 3D math skills
o Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming
o Creative, motivated, focused, passionate, results-oriented
o Demonstrated ability to write efficient, clean, readable, portable, and reliable code
o Passion for games
The Ideal Candidate will also Have:
o Aptitude for game and system design
o Experience working with first-person shooter gameplay
o Background in ActionScript programming
o Experience with working with networking services like PSN, Xbox Live, or Steam
o Master's degree with some emphasis connected to game development (AI, animation, graphics, physics, networking, etc)
o Background in Python, Perl or C# programming
